About me
Chu Ling has worked as a performer and advocate in the arts for over 40 plus years in many capacities: dancer, choreographer, producer, arts administrator, fundraiser, and teacher. She founded Chu Ling Dance Academy in 1998, an organization of multi-age performance groups whose primary focus was the creation and performance of dance.
Ms. Chu, since 2000, has been teaching Chinese dance at the Boston Ballet School and the first to ever do so. She also frequently gives workshops at Wellesley College, Boston University and Harvard University.
Chu Ling continues to be the premier choreographer of dance in the Boston Area. Her choreography has been presented on stage and in numerous festivals. She is the recipient of numerous awards in China, Japan and the United States. In 2002, Ms. Chu received an “Artist/Humanist Fellowship" from the Boston Cultural Council.
