Headlining First Night Boston is Bermuda Search Party!

Bermuda Search Party, formally known as “The Q-Tip Bandits,” emerged into the Boston music scene in 2018. The band consists of guitarist Leo Son, bassist Claire Davis, trumpet player Maclin Tucker and trombone player Hoyt Parquet. They use the raw energy of rock and the coolness of R&B and funk to create a colorful experience on the stage.

Bermuda Search Party creates groovy beats with soul-inspired riffs and meaningful lyrics to create a blend of sounds that get audiences moving. During the pandemic the band spent time focusing on their music. After writing lyrics and discovering their sound, the band recorded and released their self-produced debut LP in 2022. The album titled, Melancholy Flowers, earned them four Boston Music Awards nominations, including Live and Pop Act of the Year, Song of the Year for “Daisy,” and Album of the Year. After touring in support of the album’s release in 2022, the band continued playing stages across the country into 2024. They had the opportunity to play several festivals along the way, including SXSW, Levitate Music Festival, and Boston Calling.

Bermuda Search Party returned to the studio in 2023 to record their sophomore LP with producer Eric Palmquist, known for his work with half alive, Tate McRae, and Bad Suns. Throughout 2024 the band has released several singles, leading to the continuation of their live performances across the East Coast in early winter of this year.
