About me
Hello!! I am a 19-year old rising college senior at BU, and I have been writing poetry since I was twelve. After reading a few Ellen Hopkins books, starting with Burned, I was struck by the power of poetry to communicate strong emotions through metaphors and dramatic word choice. I started to write my own poetry as a sort of coping mechanism, and fell in love with the way it allowed me to express my emotions in a healthy way. Now I have around 500 pages of poetry, and I am thinking about publishing avenues. Talk to me about anything!! I grew up in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and lived in Colorado for two years. I am working towards fluency in Spanish, and I hope to spend a year teaching English in Spain after graduation. My family is made up of two moms who are divorced, an autistic younger brother, and a cockapoo!
